The Foundation proudly announces awarding $25,000 to fund grant programs for district staff.  Our Super Grant was awarded to a team of educators at Hoover Elementary School for their program, “How Does Hoover’s Garden Grow?” This well written proposal was designed to focus in the area of life sciences and build a greenhouse where students will work with senior friends from Friendship Village to grow fresh produce and ultimately donate to the Schaumburg Food Pantry. Students will form an intergenerational partnership to ultimately make a positive difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
